Summary: A few months have passed since the Avengers fought the Chitauri, and the team is coming together, except for Tony, who seems to be coming apart. At first, Steve assumes that he's just being irresponsible and annoying, but then JARVIS clues him in.
♥ This pushed all of my hurt/comfort buttons. Banged up exhausted Tony, lots of misunderstandings and manipulation, Steve to the rescue, and a nice and very satisfying ending.

Summary: It starts with simple fascination on Tony's part - fascination with Steve's private life, which turns out to be rather different that Tony expected. Steve makes it serious, because he's a serious guy.
♥ There's a bit of steam, but Steve and Tony don't actually end up together in this fic - a logical conclusion I was incredibly happy with. But the writing is so beautiful, and the characters handled so well (no OOC drama and guilt, both Steve and Tony have good reasons) that the author managed to make me want them to become a couple despite everything. That doesn't happen often to me - usually it's the other way round, and I was even thinking about writing a bit of meta about that. (Maybe I'll still do that some time.)
