♠ I'm 44 years old, currently living in Germany together with two cats. I legally changed my name in 2002 and broke off all contact to my mother at the same time. I have a very good relationship with my father, though.

♠ Since February 2002 I've been working for an international bookseller and subscriptions agent. The majority of our customers are located in the USA - mainly universities and libraries like Yale, Harvard and the Library of Congress, for example. From dissertations to romance novels, history books to science fiction, textbooks to homoerotic art - we ship everything.

Before that (February 1998 - February 2002) I was a member of the riot squad in the German police force.

♠ Edinburgh is my most favourite city in the world. I'm totally in love with Scotland. It's where I feel at home and where I'm happy. I try to spend some vacation time in Scotland every (other) year and would love to permanently move there some day.

♠ I have lots of potentially-fatal food allergies. Fruits, vegetables, nuts - there's only very very little which I can safely eat. I'm not interested in lectures about my "unhealthy eating habits". I eat what I can.

♠ On fandom participation: I'm easily sucked into new fandoms but I rarely feel the need to write in them myself. So don't be surprised when I mostly read and hopefully comment.

♠ On commenting: There's no time limit on commenting on my journal, so please don't ever feel shy about it. It doesn't matter if we've known each other for years or if you just subscribed to me. Even a simple one word comment from you has the potential to make my day.

I'm not comfortable with getting podficced, translated, remixed and/or sequeled at the moment. This may or may not change in the future, but for now I'd rather prefer you didn't.
